THE STUDIOS AT 55

Owner, Pete Limosani purchased the building
that is now
The Studios at 55 in August, 2007.
Built in 1902 the building has a history in
downtown Meriden.  For about 70 years, it
housed the Swift Premium Ham & Bacon
Company. Built to keep meat cold, large
sections of the building are lined with several
thick layers of cork. What was good insulation
for them is great sound absorption for the
music studios. The performance hall on the
second floor was once a horse stall.  Swift
quartered their delivery horses right in the
building.

The 20,000 sq ft building has gone through quite a bit of renovation.  Most of the
inside has been gutted to make room for the 35 recording studios, band rooms,
rehearsal rooms,  performance hall, and a large retail at the front of the building.
Limosani is looking for a music store to occupy the retail space.

The Studios at 55 offers musicians and other performing artists climate
controlled studios and rehearsal rooms ranging in size for anyone from small
three-piece band to a fife & drum corp.  The performance hall and skylight lounge
offers a great space for performers to show off their talent.  Studios are available
for long or short term rents and range in price from $160.00 to $550.00.

Red Storm Recording Studio offers musicians professional masters of
their music in a new state of the art facility.

Nu Entertainment Productions offers musicians and other performing artists
a full range of professional promotional and booking services.
