| "Savin Rock a Journey Back In Time" was made from the original 16mm film taken of the once famous Savin rock Amusement Park during its hey day in 1948. The film was restored and enhanced by Denise Kearns of Photo Restoration & Design. Sound was added (where it could be done authentically). Narration and special effects have been added. The film also includes early 1950's film footage of the Savin Rock Stock Car Races at Donovan Field, also known as The West Haven Speed Way, an interview with Savin Rock's most famous drivers and rivals, Johnny Cambino and Billy Greco. Miniature replicas of some of the cars driven by the Speedway's champions made by Chuck Tomlinson are featured as well as a look at Savin Rock as it appears today. |
